Stress cardiac magnetic resonance in an outpatient setting: a four year experience in > 1000 patients

چکیده
Methods We reviewed the data of all patients who were referred for stress CMR (1.5 Tesla) from February 2006 to February 2010 to the Centre de Diagnostic Radiologique de Carouge, an outpatient imaging center. Standard protocol consisted of: 1) assessment of myocardial function at rest; 2) pharmacological stress induced either by dobutamine (protocol of 10, 20, 30, 40 μg/kg/min during 3 minutes with atropine if necessary) until achieving submaximal heart rate ([220-age] x 0.85), or by adenosine (protocol of 140 μg/kg/minute during 3 minutes followed by a bolus of 10 ml of gadolinium at 4 ml/second “first pass”); 3) assessment of myocardial scar and/or viability by delayed enhancement (DE) sequences.

Safety of adenosine stress magnetic resonance imaging using a mobile cardiac magnetic resonance system.
BACKGROUND Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (ceMRI) allows for the detection of ischemic heart disease. Aim of this prospective study was to show feasibility, practicability and safety of adenosine stress ceMRI in routine outpatients with a mobile scanner. METHODS Consecutive patients were scanned in six different cardiac outpatient centers with a 1.5 T mobile ceMRI scanner. First...

Abstract Background Iron overload is the main transfusion related side effects in patients with transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathies. Severe iron deposition in tissues leads to organ dysfunction. Many organs can be affected such as heart, liver, and endocrine organs. Cardiac failure and liver fibrosis are the consequent of Iron overload in transfusion dependent hemoglobinopathy. Magne...
متن کاملDNA Damages on Blood Cells After Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Introduction: Along with the increased use of cardiac imaging at clinics there is increased attention to the potential risks related to the methods used like magnetic resonance (MR) and it cannot be ruled out that MR can alter DNA structure. The aim of this review is to assess the impact of routine cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) scanning on DNA damages in human T lymphocytes....

Purpose: To assess the relationship between the severity of coronary arteries involvement and the extent and pattern of myocardial scars in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance of patients with history of remote myocardial infarction. Materials and Methods: The Cardiac Magnetic Resonance images of sixty patients with history of remote ST segment or non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction were ...
متن کاملThe Correlation between Left and Right Ventricular Ejection Fractions in Patients with Ischemic Heart Disease, Documented by Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Introduction: The correlation between right and left ventricular ejection fractions (RVEF and LVEF, respectively) has been studied in only a small number of patients with a marked decrease in RVEF and LVEF. The aim of the present study was to compare LVEF and RVEF in patients with ischemic heart disease. RVEF and LVEF were measured by Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging. Materials a...
